KIA picked up two prizes in the “Product Design” category at the 2016 Red Dot Awards, one of the most prestigious international product design competitions. This latest success strengthens KIA’s position as an automobile brand that offers the highest design standards.

In addition to the success of KIA Sportage and KIA Optima in the “Product Design” category, the KIA Optima was honored with a 'Best of the Best' award, which is awarded only to the most ground-breaking designs in a category. Introduced on global markets in the first quarter of 2016, with their new Red Dot prizes the New KIA Sportage and KIA Optima models have taken their position in design to a new level. With this latest success KIA's has gone on to increase its Red Dot Awards to a total of 15. 

The Sportage, one of the key players in KIA’s design-driven transformation, has been the brand's bestseller in Europe for many years. The KIA Optima, which is one of the strongest selling KIA models worldwide, also embodies the development of brand in a very special way. Both models surpass their rivals in their respective categories on account of the clarity, distinction and sporty elegance of their exterior design. 

The Germany-based Red Dot Awards, one of the oldest and most prestigious design competitions, was first organized in 1955 and winners are determined by an independent judging panel. The new KIA Sportage and KIA Optima have also received the prestigious IF Design and Good Design awards in 2016.
