KIA SORENTO UPGRADED WITH NEW NEXT-GENERATION TECHNOLOGIES
KIA Sorento has added to its distinguished features and now strengthens its position in the SUV segment, offering a safer and smarter driving experience with upgraded technologies.
The best-selling SUV for six years in a row from 2004 to 2009, KIA Sorento’s 2015 new-generation version takes the roads with Lane Departure Warning, Blind-Spot Detection, and Around-View Monitor systems.
The Lane Departure Warning System audibly warns the driver when the vehicle strays from the chosen lane without using indicators. The system detects the road lines, and adapting to the road conditions and driving styles, assists the driver in keeping with the lane.
The Blind-Spot Detection System alerts the driver with warning lights on the wing mirrors when a vehicle enters Sorento’s blind spot area while cruising. The system will launch visual and audible alerts if it detects a dangerously close-approaching vehicle when the driver uses the signals to change lanes.
The Around-View Monitor System uses four individual cameras placed across the vehicle to provide a safe and all-round view of the vehicle’s surroundings.
New navigation feature
The images collected by the cameras are processed in real-time and sent to the radio or the screen of the radio-controlled navigation system. Drivers can choose the next-generation “area view” for a 3D bird’s eye view. This feature helps to more extensively view the surroundings of the vehicle when looking for a parking spot.
The upgraded KIA Sorento with the navigation feature and upgraded next-generation technologies are offered to automobile enthusiasts at 239,000 TRL.
